CHARACTERISTICS/TRAITS REQUIRED:

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • To perform the function of a Supervisor for the Clean and Green Division.
  • Act as a liaison between communities, clients and associations for Marshall.
  • Maintain and build relationships.
  • Project Management : Identifying and supervising projects for the betterment within the
    footprint that Marshall operates.
  • Co-ordinating Clean and Green projects to bring the communities together.
  • Assisting the Community Projects Manager in rolling out Clean and Green initiatives and
    Municipal Top-up Services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least 2 years successful project
    management experience in the garden
    service or agricultural field
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Fluent in English

KNOWLEDGE & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Represent the Company and its image, ethos and vision to the best of their ability.
  • Promote and sell the Company’s products and services to prospective and existing clients.
  • Present, quote and provide electronic security and safety solutions to new and existing clients, according to their specific needs and requests.
  • Listen to clients and present accurately and appropriately, in order to secure the sale.
  • Build relationships with potential clients to secure future business.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to promote future business.
  • Respond to telephone calls and emails timeously and in an appropriate manner.
  • Keep appointments made with clients, and if unable to do so, reschedule prior to the appointment for an alternative time that suits both parties.
  • Meet periodic sales targets as specified by management.
  • Cold call to arrange for meetings with potential customers and source new business.
  • Collect referrals from existing clients to source new business.
  • Respond to enquiries for new business in a professional and courteous manner and do so within the same business day.
  • Respond to complaints in a professional and courteous manner and assist with directing the client to the appropriate department/person to ultimately achieve a solution to the problem.
  • Sell all products and services at the prices as specified by management at the time.
  • Process new contracts and the supporting documentation so that it may be received timeously by the accounts department for invoicing, the control room for loading, and the technical department for stock orders and job booking.
  • Ensure contracts are completed in full, with no errors or omissions.
  • Follow up on installation dates with the technical department to arrange presence on site on the day of installation, to ensure that the technicians are aware of placement and operation of devices as was agreed with the client.
  • Complete details on CRM and BPO accurately, correctly, and in full.
  • Ensure new orders and contracts follow the correct path at all times.
  • Record sales figures accurately and correctly on the sales target board software.
  • Working hours may vary from time to time due to the nature of the business and the position, but it is expected that the security advisor is available telephonically at least, between the required hours, in return for basic remuneration. May be called on from time to time to represent the company at closed and public functions, events, exhibitions and community meetings, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience,  preferably within the security industry
  • Valid PSIRA Registration and Grading
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • SAIDSA Certification (Advantageous)
  • High Level of Computer Literacy
  • Own Reliable Motor Vehicle
  • Criminal Record Vetting Procedure
  • Pre-employment Polygraph

  • Additional requirements include a proven track record of sales, and the ability to follow projects through to completion.
  • Must reside within the business’ North Coast footprint.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Debtors clerk or a similar role
  • Previous experience with Debt Collection is advantage
  • Ability to handle and deal with difficult high pressure situations
  • Ability to manage and deal with a large customer base
  • A financially-related tertiary qualification
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have good time management skills
  • Be computer literate in MS Office
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Accounting Systems (Pastel Evolution advantageous)
  • Have excellent negotiation & communication skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Monitoring of accounts to ensure that payments are received timeously and are up to date
  • Administering Debtors / Debt collection – Follow up on outstanding accounts
  • Collect overdue monies and timeously flag overdue accounts to relevant staff and management
  • Accurate and constant follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
  • Deal with queries from clients and reconciling of customer accounts where necessary
  • Daily and monthly reporting to management

DESIRED QUALIFICATION LEVEL

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Financially-related tertiary qualification
