This morning, swift action from our Armed Response Officer leads to the apprehension of a copper thief.
At approximately 06h35, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received multiple beam activations from a client’s business premises on Ninth Avenue in the Morningside area. In response, our Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.
During their response to the alarm activation, our vigilant Armed Response Officers spotted a suspect walking on Ninth Avenue, carrying copper pipes. Acting decisively, the suspect was promptly apprehended.
Subsequent investigations confirmed that the copper pipes were stolen from the client’s premises. In adherence to our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our clients, Marshall Security promptly contacted the Berea South African Police Service (SAPS) to report the incident.
The suspect was handed over to the Berea SAPS for further investigation and processing.
