This afternoon, at approximately 13h05, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic alert from a client on Matheran Road, Avoca, reporting that a suspect wearing a red shirt had just stolen a bicycle from the property and fled toward Bhamo Avenue.
Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival, officers reported that the suspect had entered the property by jumping over the rear fence and had stolen a broken children’s bicycle from under the carport before making his escape.
Our officers swiftly began patrolling the area in search of the suspect. Shortly thereafter, they located and apprehended him at a well know scrap yard in Old North Coast Road.
Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted and arrived on the scene shortly after. The suspect was taken into custody for further processing and investigation.
