Musa Dlamini pleaded guilty and was convicted for theft in the Durban Magistrates Court on the 26th of September 2022, only 11 days after he was arrested.
Dlamini was arrested on 15 September 2022 by members of our Special Operations Team after the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was informed by a client in Hudson Place that a suspect had stolen their brush cutter from their garage. A few minutes later, Dlamini was spotted walking on North Coast Road and after a short foot chase, he was arrested.
Dlamini was sentenced to three months imprisonment, which will be wholly suspended for 5 years, or with an option to pay a R3,000.00 fine. He paid his fine and was released, while being declared unfit to possess a firearm in the future.
