Yesterday, at approximately 14h40, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received multiple alarm panic activations from a well known Tuck Shop on Rosary Road, Kenville. The client was contacted, and reported that three pedestrians had been robbed at gunpoint on Hendon Road of their cellphones and personal belongings by three suspects.
An eyewitness further reported that the suspects had fled the scene in a white Toyota Etios.
Multiple Armed Response Officers and members of Special Operations Team (SOT) immediately responded to the scene and began searching for the vehicle.
A short while later, additional information was received that the same suspects vehicle had been spotted in the Ntuzuma area.
Our SOT members together with Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit proceeded to the area and, whilst patrolling in the Ntuzuma area, they spotted the vehicle matching the description. Acting immediately, the vehicle was brought to a halt and two suspects were immediately apprehended.
A search revealed that one of the suspects was in possession of a knife, multiple cellphones SIM cards.

Following information obtained from the two apprehended suspects, the team proceeded to a premises in the KwaMashu area, where a further two suspects were apprehended. At that location, members recovered two replica firearms, cellphones, and other stolen items confirmed to have been taken during the robbery earlier.
All four suspects, the getaway vehicle, and recovered exhibits were transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.
This arrest once again highlights the strength of teamwork, coordination, and the rapid response capabilities of Marshall Security in partnership with SAPS, ensuring the safety of communities across Greenwood Park and beyond.
