This morning, at approximately 11h00, Marshall Security Armed Response Officers, while conducting routine patrols in the Sunningdale area, identified a white Suzuki Ertiga linked to a fuel theft incident that occurred just over a week ago at a well-known fuel station on Umhlanga Rocks Drive.
Recognizing the wanted vehicle, our team discreetly followed it and, with the assistance of Durban North SAPS, successfully intercepted it on Glen Anil Street.
Upon questioning the driver, investigations confirmed that he was indeed the suspect involved in the fuel theft. The suspect was immediately apprehended, and the white Suzuki Ertiga used in the commission of the crime was seized as evidence.
The suspect, along with the vehicle, was transported to Durban North SAPS for further processing and investigation.
This arrest highlights the power of vigilance, intelligence-led patrolling, and collaboration between private security and law enforcement in combating crime. Marshall Security remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community.
