High-Speed Chase Ends in Apprehension in River Horse Valley

Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 13h40, members of Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team received information regarding a high-speed pursuit involving a white VW Polo on Queen Nandi Drive in the River Horse Valley area. SAPS had initiated the pursuit, and our team, being in close proximity, immediately responded to assist.

As the suspects’ vehicle was spotted speeding down Queen Nandi Drive, it approached the intersection of Queen Nandi Drive and Hippo Park Avenue, where members of our Special Operations Team were strategically positioned to provide backup. In a desperate attempt to evade capture, the suspects tried to make a sharp right turn onto Hippo Park Avenue but lost control of the vehicle, colliding with one of our Special Operations Team vehicles.

Despite their efforts to flee, all three suspects were quickly apprehended in a coordinated operation. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed multiple car-breaking implements, computer boxes used to steal vehicles, and a signal jammer designed to block vehicle tracking units. The suspects’ vehicle was also found to have been fitted with false number plates.

All three suspects, along with their vehicle and the recovered items, were transported to Newlands East SAPS for further investigation and processing.

Fortunately, none of our team members sustained serious injuries during the collision. We commend the swift actions of our Special Operations Team and SAPS, which led to the successful apprehension of the suspects and recovery of the stolen goods.

This incident once again highlights the importance of collaboration between security forces and law enforcement in keeping our communities safe. Well done to all role players involved in this successful operation!
