At approximately 14h13, our Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic alert from a Marshall client on Belvedere Road, Red Hill. The client reported hearing a loud bang before noticing a suspect wearing a black shirt and navy jeans fleeing the property.
Multiple Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene and surrounding roads in search of the suspect.
A short while later, our officers spotted the suspect emerging from the bushes on Chris Hani Road. The suspect was immediately apprehended and found in possession of stolen goods.
Greenwood Park SAPS were contacted. On arrival, the suspect informed SAPS of the residence where the items had been stolen from.
The suspect led officers to a property on Delville Road, where contact was made with the homeowner, who confirmed that there was a house breaking where the suspect forced entry into his property via a kitchen window. The recovered items were verified as his property. The homeowner has expressed interest in officially opening a case.
