This morning, at approximately 10h22, while conducting routine patrols, Marshall Security’s GWA Tactical Officers noticed two suspicious males walking along the M13 toward Hilton Place in the Westmead area.
Our Tactical Officers followed the pair and intercepted them on Harvey Road. When questioned, the suspects claimed they were on their way to Pinetown to meet their boss for work and were carrying goods in their possession. However, when asked for further details to verify their story, they were unable to provide any credible information and were immediately apprehended.

Upon closer inspection, our Officers discovered that the ladders in their possession had company signage, indicating that the goods belonged to a business in the Kloof area. The owner of the business, who is a non-GWA member, was contacted. They were unaware of the burglary at the time but later confirmed that the premises had indeed been broken into and expressed intent to press charges against the suspects.
Pinetown SAPS was contacted and arrived shortly thereafter. The suspects were transported to the station for further processing.
The Greater Westmead Association (GWA), in collaboration with Marshall Security and SAPS, continues to play a pivotal role in promoting safety and ensuring swift action in the fight against crime.
