On the 12th of September 2024, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received critical information regarding the whereabouts of a wanted suspect involved in a business robbery that took place on 4th September 2024 on Chris Hani Road in the Briardene area. Investigations revealed that one of the employees was involved in the planning of the robbery.
Acting swiftly, our Special Operations Team together with Greenwood Park SAPS and Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit and proceeded to business premises on Chris Hani Road.
Teams successfully apprehended the suspect, who was brought in for questioning. During the questioning, the suspect provided valuable information about other individuals involved in the robbery, revealing that a silver Hyundai had been used during the robbery.
The investigation led the role players to Zwelisha, Inanda, where the driver of the vehicle was apprehended, and the Hyundai was seized as evidence. Unfortunately the remaining suspects were not found at their residences in Amaoti and remain at large.
Both arrested suspects are currently detained at Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing. The operation is ongoing, and our teams are actively pursuing the remaining suspects. Further updates will follow as the situation develops.
