This morning at 05h31, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received an urgent alert from a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group regarding a suspect climbing over a wall on Church Road in the Park Hill area. The property in question was not under Marshall Security’s protection, but our team responded promptly to the report.
Our Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate the situation. Upon arrival, the homeowner directed our officers to the location where the suspect was hiding. Acting swiftly, our officers apprehended the suspect, who was found in possession of a handsaw taken from the homeowner’s garage. It was determined that the suspect had forced open the garage roller door to gain entry.

The suspect was transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further processing and a case of house-breaking is being investigated.
This successful apprehension underscores Marshall Security’s dedication to community safety, responding rapidly to any potential threats, and ensuring that those who commit crimes are brought to justice. We commend our officers for their swift and effective action in apprehending the suspect and protecting the community.
