Yesterday at approximately 16h25, while on routine patrol on Somerset Drive in Somerset Park, Marshall Armed Response Officers spotted a suspect wanted in connection with a theft incident that occurred on 28 January 2025 on Venice Road in the Morningside area.
The suspect was seen on CCTV footage where he unlawfully entered a residence property and stole a cell phone. With a case already opened against him, our officers acted swiftly, immediately apprehending the individual.
Durban North SAPS was contacted and arrived at the scene shortly after. The suspect was then transported to Durban Central SAPS, where he was detained for further processing on the theft charges.
Durban Central SAPS Detectives have been made aware of the arrest.
