Last night, at approximately 18h32, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic activation from a client on Roadhouse Crescent in the Briardene area.
Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, officers questioned the on-site security officer, who reported seeing a suspect on the property’s roof. The suspect fled when the panic alarm was triggered. The client was offered an internal inspection but declined at the time.
However, at 19h02, a second panic activation was received from the same property. This time, the client arrived on-site and joined our officers in conducting an internal inspection of the upper level. During the search, officers discovered that the toilet section doors were damaged and had been jammed shut from the inside.
Upon forcing the door open, officers found the suspect attempting to escape through a toilet window. He was immediately apprehended.

Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted and arrived on the scene shortly after. The suspect was transported to the station for further legal processing.
This arrest highlights the importance of quick response times and thorough investigations. Marshall Security remains committed to ensuring the safety of our clients and the broader community.
