This afternoon, at approximately 15h00, our dedicated vehicle in the Cornubia Industrial Business Estate was informed by a member of the public about an attempted robbery on Crasulla Road. The victim reported that two individuals, one armed with a firearm, tried to steal his personal belongings.
Our team immediately called for backup, informed the SAPS and went in search of the wanted armed suspects.
After a short search and together with the assistance of Verulam SAPS, the two suspects were spotted on Crasulla Road and immediately apprehended.
During the arrest, a search revealed that one of the suspects was carrying a replica firearm.
Both suspects were transported to Verulam SAPS and will be facing charges of attempted armed robbery.
