This morning at approximately 02h30 Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre recieved AI (Artificial Intelligence) activations from a client’s premises on Village Way in the Sunningdale area where a suspect was seen trespassing.
Multiple Armed Response Officers and members of our Special Operations Team were immediately dispatched to scene whilst our Emergency Dispatch Centre kept eyes on the suspects whereabouts and movements.
As team members arrived on scene the suspect attempted to flee but was cornered and swiftly apprehended on the client’s premises.
With the assistance of AI cameras the suspect was unaware that his actions were being monitored live from our control room which assisted in the apprehension.
Upon searching the suspect a knife and drug paraphernalia was found in his possession.
Durban North SAPS were notified who arrived on scene a short while later and transported the suspect to Durban North SAPS for further investigations and processing.
Well done to our team members on yet another successful apprehension.
