This morning, at approximately 03h30, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a client on Regent Place in the Durban North area, who reported that they could see a suspect trespassing on their property.
Responding swiftly, multiple Armed Response Officers were dispatched and arrived at the location within minutes.
Upon conducting a property inspection a suspect was spotted on the property and was immediately apprehended. Further investigation revealed that the suspect broke into the premises and attempted to steal a bicycle.
Durban North SAPS were contacted and arrived on scene a short while later and transported the suspect to Durban North SAPS for further investigation and processing.
The suspect is believed to be connected to a series of house breakings and theft incidents in the Durban North area.
