INCIDENT: RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE / SUSPECT ARRESTED

A male suspect has been arrested after a highspeed chase on Saturday night.
Marshall Security were alerted to a stolen motor vehicle, a white Volkswagen Citi Golf, by our Automatic Number Plate Recognition Cameras in the Umhlanga area.
The vehicle in question was flagged by the South African Police Services as having been stolen yesterday in the Mayville area.
Armed Reaction officers noticed the vehicle travelling onto the M4 Ruth First Highway towards the city and a highspeed chase ensued as the occupants attempted to evade arrest, with the vehicle being finally brought to a stop on Margaret Mncadi Avenue where three suspects alighted from the vehicle.
The driver a male suspect was apprehended however his two accomplices managed to evade arrest, fleeing on foot.
The secene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
