At 11:02, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a report of a break-in in progress at a dealership on Gillitts Road, Westmead, Pinetown.
Marshall Security’s GWA Tactical Officers and Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the site. Upon arrival, the client informed our response team that a suspect had gained access to the property by jumping over the rear boundary fence. The suspect stole a motor vehicle battery that had been kept outside and fled toward the nearby bushes leading to a river.
Our GWA Tactical Officers and Armed Response Officers quickly mobilized and tracked the suspect, successfully apprehending him near the river. Pinetown SAPS arrived shortly thereafter and transported the suspect to the station for further processing. The client later visited Pinetown SAPS, where a case of theft was officially opened.
