At approximately 12h41 today, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received reports from a GWA client regarding white clouds of smoke rising from the embankment along Monti Carlo Road, signaling a potential fire hazard. Recognizing the immediate danger, the officers swiftly proceeded to investigate the situation.
Upon arriving at the scene, they confirmed that a bush fire had broken out and was spreading rapidly. Without hesitation, our GWA Officers promptly alerted Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre, urgently requesting the fire brigade’s assistance.
While awaiting the fire brigade’s arrival, GWA Officers took proactive measures to secure the area, using traffic cones to cordon off the affected zone, ensuring public safety and creating a clear path for emergency personnel. The fire brigade arrived quickly, and through the combined efforts of the Greater Westmead Association, Marshall Security, and the fire department, the blaze was efficiently controlled and extinguished before any significant damage could occur.

This incident underscores the critical importance of vigilance and swift action in protecting our community. We commend the outstanding work of our GWA Officers and the Fire Department, whose coordinated efforts ensured the safety of local businesses and residents.
