Team Members Swiftly Apprehend Two Trespassers Linked to Copper Theft in Glenashley

This morning at approximately 08h40, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch was notified of an incident on Delaware Avenue in the Glenashley area, where two suspects were seen trespassing.

An accurate description of the two wanted suspects were circulated to all our Armed Response Officers and members of our Special Operations Team to be on the look out.

Working together with members of the Home Hawks Neighborhood Watch the two suspects were promptly apprehended on Rinaldo Road in the Glen Hills area.

Upon searching the suspects multiple pieces of copper were found in their possession. Subsequent investigations later revealed that the stolen copper pieces were stolen from a property on Portview Place in the Glenashley area.

One of the two suspects have been apprehended several times by our team.  The most recent case was on the 26th of June this year however the suspect was released from prison after the complainant did not appear in court resulting in the suspect being released.

The Greenwood Park SAPS were informed and arrived on scene a short while later who assisted in transporting the suspects to Durban North SAPS where the suspects will be charged for theft.

A special thanks goes out to the Home Hawks Neighborhood Watch, Greenwood Park SAPS and Durban North SAPS for the team effort displayed.
