This afternoon at approximately 12h38, a message was posted on a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group reporting a suspect trespassing at a non-Marshall client’s property on Maple Close in Prestondale, Umhlanga. The suspect fled after being spotted by the homeowner.
Marshall Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.
A detailed description of the suspect was promptly circulated to all responding officers.
Shortly thereafter, a male matching the suspect’s description was spotted, hiding at the intersection of Autumn Drive and Meridian Drive. Marshall Security officers swiftly apprehended the suspect.
The homeowner positively identified the suspect and expressed their intent to press charges.
Durban North SAPS was notified and arrived shortly thereafter. The suspect was taken into custody for further legal processing.
