Yesterday, at approximately 10h30, Marshall Security Special Operations team were patrolling along near Prospect Hall Road when they observed a potential suspect. The suspect’s description matched that of a theft suspect wanted in connection with a theft at a local Grocery store which took place a few days ago.
Upon spotting our Officers, the suspect attempted to flee. Following a brief foot chase, the suspect was successfully apprehended by the vigilant officers.
Durban North SAPS were contacted and arrived to scene a short while later, further investigation confirmed that the suspect is currently wanted by Durban North SAPS. A search of the suspects belongings revealed four boxes of Grandpa Powder, valued at R200.00, in his possession. The suspect could not provide proof of purchase or a valid explanation of where the items had been obtained.
The suspect was transported to Durban North SAPS for further processing and investigation.
