At approximately 10:16 this morning, GWA Marshall Security officers operating in the Westmead area noticed an individual acting suspiciously outside a scrap yard on Swanfield Road, Westmead.

Upon inspection, the man was found to be in possession of approximately 5 kilograms of copper. When questioned, the suspect could not give our officer a reasonable explanation as to where he got the items from.

Pinetown SAPS were contacted and arrived on the scene shortly after. The suspect was handed over to the authorities for further investigation and processing.
