This morning, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted to a housebreaking and theft incident at a non-client’s property on Orange Grove in the Park Hill area. Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a suspect had forcefully opened the sliding door and fled with various household items.
Our Armed Response Officers remained vigilant in the area, suspecting the intruder was still nearby after being spotted trespassing on properties along Seaton Road. Shortly thereafter, a distress call was received from a client on Lothian Road, reporting a suspect hiding on their property.
Multiple Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene within minutes. During a property search, the suspect was located and apprehended. Upon searching the individual, items stolen from the Orange Grove housebreaking were recovered. The homeowners were notified and positively identified their belongings.
Greenwood Park SAPS were called to the scene and transported the suspect to Greenwood Park Police Station, where the individual faces charges of housebreaking, theft, and trespassing.
