On Tuesday morning, at approximately 07h52, a Toyota Quantum reported being involved in a theft incident in the Howick area was spotted traveling along Trafford Road in the Westmead area by Marshall Security’s GWA Tactical Team. The vehicle had been involved in stealing a trailer in December last year.
Our GWA Tactical Team immediately initiated surveillance, following the vehicle while coordinating with Pinetown SAPS for assistance. Acting swiftly, law enforcement successfully intercepted the wanted Toyota Quantum on Goodwood Road.
Upon approaching the driver, the necessary information was explained, but they denied any knowledge of the theft incident.
The vehicle and driver were handed over to Pinetown SAPS for further processing and investigation.
