At approximately 11h18 this morning, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received an alert from a local WhatsApp Crime Alert Group regarding a possible intruder on a property in Adriene Road, Ballito.
The alert indicated that a suspect had been seen by a neighbor trespassing on a nearby property, raising immediate concern for the safety of the area.
In response, our Armed Response Officers were dispatched to the scene without delay. Upon arrival, a male suspect who had jumped into the property of a non Marshall client property and was immediately apprehended.
Upon searching the suspect a large knife was found in his possession and was unable to explain his presence on the property.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the incident however once informed, they confirmed their intent to press charges against the suspect.
Shortly after, Umhlali SAPS officers arrived on the scene and took the suspect into custody, transporting him to the Umhlali station for further processing.
