Various car break-in implements, jamming devices and cloned numberplates were found when two suspects driving a vehicle wanted for multiple cases of vehicle theft were arrested earlier today.
This morning at approximately 09h15 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted via a Ballito crime alert group to a wanted vehicle spotted traveling in the area. The white Hyundai is wanted for various cases of theft of motor vehicles in the greater Durban area including Ballito, Umhlanga and Durban North.
Our Tactical Team immediately responded along with the Umhlali SAPS and various other security companies, and the vehicle was eventually brought to a stop at a well-known fast food restaurant off Moffat Drive. Two suspects inside the vehicle were immediately arrested.




Upon searching the vehicle various car break-in implements including jamming devices were found, as well as various cloned numberplates. The vehicle itself was also fitted with cloned numberplates. Various bank card and retail account cards were found in the vehicle and is believed to have been stolen and used by the suspects.
The suspects were transported to Umhlali SAPS for further investigation and processing.
