Seven Minutes to Recovery: Marshall Teams Respond After Kenville Hijacking

This morning at approximately 09h15, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received reports via a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group of a hijacking along Parkington Grove in Kenville.

Multiple Marshall Security Armed Response Officers and members of our Special Operations Team (SOT) were immediately dispatched to assist.

According to reports from the scene, two armed suspects had approached the occupants of a white Nissan NP200, stole their cellphones and hijacked the vehicle before fleeing.

A short while later, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team was activated by Tracker SA to assist with locating the hijacked vehicle. Teams immediately responded, and within approximately 7 minutes, the vehicle was recovered abandoned along the M25 in the vicinity of KwaMashu.

The recovery was conducted with assistance from Tracker SA ground teams and the Greenwood Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit.

The recovered vehicle was subsequently transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing.

Despite the victims not being Marshall Security clients, our teams responded and assisted in the incident. This demonstrates our commitment to supporting victims of crime and protecting the broader community.

Marshall Security remains committed to proactive crime prevention, vehicle recovery operations and close collaboration with SAPS, tracking partners and community organisations to combat crime across the areas we serve.
