Earlier this morning our teams arrested a suspect hiding in the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve training centre where he had attempted to steal the flat screen TV and other valuable items.
At approximately 07h10 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a client at the Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve who noticed that one of the windows of the training centre had been forced open and suspected that the burglar could still be inside.
Multiple Armed Response Officers and Special Operations Team members were immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene within minutes. Whilst conducting an internal check of the training centre, a suspect was found hiding inside and he was immediately arrested by our Armed Response Officers. The suspect had removed the flat screen TV from its bracket and rifled through several cupboards looking for valuable items.
Durban North SAPS were contacted and arrived in the scene a short while later. The suspect was handed over to Durban North SAPS and will be charged with business burglary.
Well done to our team members on yet another successful arrest.
