INCIDENT: THEFT / SUSPECT ARRESTED

Just before midnight on Sunday morning, Marshall Security received a call from a client stating that they had fallen victim to a crime in the Morningside area.
The caller stated that their iPhone had been stolen from their person whilst they were at a popular social venue in the area. Members of our special operations team were activated to assist and acting on information received managed to locate the stolen phone as well as several other devices.
With the assistance of the Metro Police, a Volkswagen Citi Golf was brought to a stop on Walter Gilbert Road. A search of the vehicle found the occupant to be in possession of the stolen phone as well as several other devices. The man was remanded into the custody of the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
