Control Room Operator
Marshall Security is seeking vigilant, reliable Control Room Operators to manage alarm monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and emergency response communications. You’ll play a critical role in safeguarding our clients, ensuring rapid and effective response to all security incidents.
What you’ll do:
As a Control Room Operator, you’ll be the eyes and ears of Marshall Security, monitoring security systems, coordinating responses to emergencies, and ensuring optimal performance of surveillance equipment.
Alarm Monitoring & Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to alarm activations and coordinate rapid responses.
Manage inbound and outbound communications during security emergencies.
CCTV & Surveillance Monitoring:
Actively monitor CCTV systems and surveillance cameras.
Review live and recorded footage, directing armed response or security teams as necessary.
Maintain and verify CCTV equipment to ensure functionality and video quality.
Incident Tracking & Communication:
Clearly document incidents, activities, and response actions taken.
Communicate effectively with on-site teams and emergency services during incidents.
What you need to know:
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Matric (Grade 12) qualification or equivalent.
Must be fluent in English.
Minimum experience of 2 years in alarm monitoring or similar control room environments.
Valid PSIRA Registration.
- Minimum Grade E certification.
Availability for flexible shift work (day/night).
Proven ability to handle high-pressure scenarios calmly and effectively.
Clean criminal record, with mandatory Criminal Record Vetting and Pre-employment Polygraph.
Preferred Certifications (Bonus Points!):
✅ Experience in off-site CCTV monitoring in an armed response or monitoring business.
