At approximately 13h25, Marshall Security received reports of a house breaking in progress at a client’s property on Kenneth Kaunda Road in Durban North. The Emergency Dispatch Centre immediately obtained a detailed description of the suspect and circulated it to multiple response units operating in the area.
Armed Response Officers and members of the Special Operations Team launched an extensive search for the suspect, focusing on surrounding streets and known exit routes. A short while later, a suspect matching the description was spotted walking along Humber Crescent.
The individual was approached and successfully apprehended by Marshall Security officers. A search of a bag in the suspect’s possession led to the recovery of a grey extension cord, which was positively identified as property stolen from a Marshall Security client’s home on Northway, Durban North.

Further investigation revealed additional stolen items in the suspect’s possession, including a grinder, glue gun, and drill. These tools were later confirmed to have been stolen from another Marshall Security client’s property on Humber Crescent, indicating that the suspect had been actively moving between multiple homes in the area.
Durban North SAPS were immediately contacted and arrived on scene shortly thereafter. The suspect, along with all recovered stolen property, was handed over to SAPS and transported to Durban North Police Station for further processing and investigation.
This incident highlights the effectiveness of rapid communication, real-time coordination, and proactive patrols. The Durban North house breaking suspect arrested in this case was prevented from continuing criminal activity, while stolen property belonging to multiple clients was successfully recovered.
