A suspect was arrested for housebreaking and theft after our dedicated members chased him for close to an hour in the Glen Anil area on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 13h40 the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received a call from a client who reported that a housebreaking had just occurred at their home in Redwood Crescent, and proceeded to give an accurate clothing description of the suspect.
Multiple Armed Response Officers and Special Operations Team members were immediately dispatched to the area to search for the wanted suspect.
After nearly a whole hour of chasing after the suspect, who was fence-hopping between properties on Sagewood Way, our determined members arrested the suspect with the stolen items in his possession, which were positively identified by the homeowner.
The suspect together with the stolen items were handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS where the suspect will be charged for housebreaking and theft.
