At approximately 09h10 this morning, our Emergency Dispatch Centre received a panic alert from a client in Blackburn Road. Our Armed Response Officer was immediately dispatched to the property. While en route, our officer was flagged down by the homeowner’s son, who pointed out the suspect that had broken into his property, walking in the opposite direction.
The suspect had forced a burglar bar and removed a glass pane before gaining access into the house.
Our officer immediately apprehended the suspect and handed him over to Greenwood Park SAPS for further processing.
