At approximately 22:30 Marshall Security’s emergency dispatch centre received multiple panic activations from a home in Chelsea Drive and a call from a neighbour informing them that there was a house robbery in progress and suspects were still on the premises.
Marshall Security’s Armed Reaction Officers, our Special Operations Team, and members of the Durban North SAPS were immediately dispatched. Upon arrival, our officers were confronted by 6 armed suspects attempting to flee the premises. One of the suspects fired shots at our officer and he returned fire at the suspects before they fled back into the property.
Members of our Special Operation Team apprehended a suspect as he attempted to flee over the front wall, a second suspect was also arrested in the property with a gunshot wound to his arm, a third suspect was arrested after he jumped through properties and attempted to hide from our team in bushes along Ennisdale Drive.
All three suspects were found with property in their possession that had been taken from the victims.
