In December, 135 incidents were reported to our Emergency Dispatch Centre. This is a 9% decrease compared to the rate we recorded in November 2025. The top types of incidents throughout the month were theft, trespassing, and house breaking and theft.

Throughout December, we arrested 13 suspects and recovered 5 stolen or hijacked vehicles. 💪


Shooting incident under investigation in Parkhill

Emergency services responded to a shooting incident on Eastview Road in the Park Hill area. One person was tragically declared deceased, while another sustained gunshot wounds and received medical treatment. The road was closed as SAPS and forensic teams conducted their investigation, and the public was urged to avoid the area to allow emergency services to work safely.

Stolen vehicle recovered following coordinated Marshall SOT efforts

Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla Cross in Phoenix after receiving intelligence from Matrix Tracking. Two suspects were apprehended on scene and handed over to Phoenix SAPS along with the vehicle. This recovery highlights the power of intelligence-led operations and strong collaboration with law enforcement and tracking partners.

AI cameras leads to prompt arrest at Umgeni Business Park

An AI-powered CCTV system detected a suspect stealing a metal signboard from a business in Umgeni Business Park. Armed Response Officers quickly apprehended the suspect, who was still in possession of the stolen item. Greenwood Park SAPS took over the scene for further investigation. This incident highlights the impact of smart technology combined with rapid response.
