Marshall Security Brings the Community Together for Halloween Walks

Marshall Security once again proved that security is about more than response vehicles and alarm systems, it’s about community. This past weekend, our teams hosted the annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Walks at Northwood Crusaders Sports Club and Sunningdale Park, followed by an energetic day at the Ballito Neighbourhood Watch Potjie Competition, reminding residents that safety and togetherness go hand in hand.

This year’s Halloween celebrations saw an incredible turnout, with families, children, and even a few “undead” community members joining us for a fun and safe trick-or-treat experience.

Our teams guided families along a supervised route, where children were able to collect sweets, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and interact with our Marshall members in a relaxed, friendly setting.

The event also included an outdoor movie screening of Casper, which brought everyone together on picnic blankets and camp chairs under the evening sky. Laughter, excitement, and a few playful ghostly surprises made it a night to remember.

We always say In Case of Anything, and weekends like these show exactly what that means. It’s not just about protecting homes, it’s about building trust, familiarity, and joy in the communities we serve.

A big thank you to the people who made it all happen! The events were made possible by the dedication of Marshall Security staff, volunteers, community groups, and local partners. From setup to safety oversight to distributing sweets, every person played a meaningful part.

As mentioned on the night, this year’s Halloween walk at Crusaders was held in support of the Law Enforcement Foundation (LEF), a registered non-profit dedicated to equipping, training, and supporting local law enforcement and community safety initiatives. Funds raised will go directly toward providing essential resources, equipment, and community-based safety education programmes. By coming together for a fun and memorable evening, we also helped strengthen the very teams working to keep our neighbourhoods safe, a cause close to the heart of every Marshall team member.

On Saturday, our Marshall team joined the Ballito Neighbourhood Watch Potjie Competition, a beloved local tradition celebrating good food, teamwork, and community unity.

While our potjie may not have taken home first place this year, the real win was the camaraderie shared among neighbours, first responders, and families all gathered for a good cause.

The event also provided an opportunity to connect informally with residents, answer questions about safety concerns, and deepen our partnership with community neighbourhood watch groups.

Marshall Security has long been committed to a community-first approach to safety.

Because safety isn’t just reactive – it’s proactive, visible, and rooted in trust.
