INCIDENT: THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE / SUSPECTS ARRESTED

At approximately 09:30 on Friday morning, Marshall Security North Coast were alerted via our SNIPR automatic number plate recognition camera systems, to a motor vehicle which was sought by the South African Police Services after being reported stolen in Amanzimtoti yesterday.
The vehicle was spotted travelling in the Ballito area and followed onto the M4 highway where following a brief chase, it was brought to a stop with the assistance of the Umhlali SAPS. The occupants of the Volkswagen Polo were arrested on site. Shortly after that, two other men arrived on the scene in a second vehicle which on further investigation was revealed to also be stolen.
The occupants were also arrested and handed over together with the other suspects to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
