Incident 1: Couple Apprehended for Phone Theft in Glen Hills

Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 15h48, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received an alert via a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group regarding a suspicious male and female outside a property on Tibouchina Place, Glen Hills.

Marshall Security Armed Response Officers and the Special Operations Team were dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, they located the male suspect on the road, who claimed he was waiting for a female companion visiting a resident. Shortly after, the gate opened, and the pair left together.

At 16h00, a Marshall Security client residing on Tibouchina Place reported that the female had stolen a phone from their property. Officers quickly located and apprehended the suspects on Elderberry Drive, recovering the stolen phone from the female.

The suspects were escorted back to the property, and Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted. The client confirmed they wished to press charges. Both suspects were transported to Greenwood Park SAPS for further processing.

Marshall Security urges the public to remain vigilant and cautious about granting property access to visitors.

Incident 2: Suspect Caught with Stolen Electric Weed Trimmer in Umgeni Park Linked to Durban North Housebreaking
