Late last night, at approximately 23:20, one of our alert Armed Response Officers was patrolling on Adelaide Tambo Drive in Durban North area when he heard metallic noises coming from the local post office. On closer inspection, he noticed the premises’ gates were wide open and decided to investigate.
Once on site a suspect was spotted packing pieces of copper pipes into his backpack and water was seen flowing from the roof.
The suspect was immediately apprehended and it was established that the pipes were indeed stolen from the Post Office.

The manager of the Post Office who is a non-Marshall client was informed who desired pressing charges against the suspect.
Durban North SAPS arrived shortly thereafter and took the suspect into custody for further investigations and processing. Marshall Security remains committed to protecting the community by maintaining vigilant patrols. We encourage all residents to report suspicious activity to help us ensure a safer environment for everyone.
