Yesterday our teams were notified to a housebreaking in progress and immediately responded, and managed to arrest the suspect on a non-client property while the suspect was attempting to steal copper pipes.
On Monday, just before midday, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre was alerted to a housebreaking in progress on Conyngham Avenue, in Parkhill and that the suspect was being chased by a member of the public.
Our Armed Response Officers together with members of our Special Operations Team were dispatched and arrived on the scene within seconds and after an extensive search, the suspect was eventually arrested on a non-client property on Park Road attempting to steal copper pipes.
Multiple tools and an extension cord were found in the suspect’s possession and confirmed to be the same items that were stolen in the house break-in from a property on Conyngham Avenue.
The suspect was handed over to the Greenwood Park SAPS and will be charged for house break-in and theft.
