At 02h05 this morning, Marshall Security’s Emergency Dispatch Centre received a critical call from an eyewitness reporting suspicious activity at Stanhope Place, Briardene. The caller suspected a potential business break-in, prompting an immediate response.
Our Armed Response Officers were swiftly dispatched to the scene, where they spotted three suspects. One suspect was promptly apprehended, while the other two fled into a nearby informal settlement. Several bags containing stolen items were recovered at the scene.
After questioning the apprehended suspect, it was revealed that the stolen items were taken from client’s premises on Stanhope Place, Briardene.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the break-in had occurred at the rear left of the building.
SAPS arrived at the scene, and both the suspect and the stolen items were taken to Greenwood Park SAPS for further processing. The client will be filing a case at Greenwood Park SAPS to ensure the matter is fully investigated.
