At 06h30 today, members of our Special Operations Team were on patrol in the Springfield Park area when they noticed a Silver Toyota Quest with 5 occupants. Our team followed the vehicle and when the occupants noticed they were being followed they began to drive faster and attempt to flee.
Our team gave chase and the suspects lost control of the vehicle and collided into the wall of the petrol station in Inanda Road. Two suspects were arrested by our Special Operations team members. Three suspects fled on foot and managed to evade arrest.
The vehicle had false number plates and housebreaking implements were found in the vehicle. The suspects were handed over to SAPS for further investigating and processing.
