At 22h22 last night, Marshall Security’s Dispatch Centre received a call from a non-client on Edgeley Road, Park Hill. The resident reported hearing the sound of breaking glass but was unsure whether it originated from his property or from a property nearby.
Our Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, our officer made contact with the non-client, who confirmed that his property was secure. Our Officers immediately began to search the nearby properties to find the source of where the broken glass sound came from. During a thorough inspection of the school nearby, a broken classroom window was discovered.
Meanwhile, another Marshall Security officer stopped a suspicious individual near Edgeley Road. The individual was found with bleeding hands and palms, raising immediate suspicion. The suspect was taken back to the school, where bloodstains on the floor inside the classroom confirmed that he had broken in.

The school principal was contacted and arrived at the scene and desired to press charges against the suspect. Greenwood Park SAPS then took the suspect into custody for further investigation and processing.
This successful apprehension highlights Marshall Security’s commitment to protecting the community and working closely with local law enforcement to ensure swift action against crime.
