INCIDENT: HOUSE ROBBERY

At approximately 18h30 Marshall Security responded to panic activations at a premises in Midsomer Crescent, Somerset Park.
On arrival on scene it was ascertained that four armed suspects forced entry into the property holding up a family before ransacking the home.
An eighteen year old male was assaulted with the butt of a firearm as suspects ordered the family to lie on the floor.
The men made off with jewellery and various other items before fleeing in an awaiting getaway vehicle.
The victim was assessed on scene by Crisis Medical paramedics. The assistance of the Durban North Victim Support Team was sought to council the family who were left traumatised in the ordeal.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
