This afternoon, at approximately 12h38, the Marshall Security Emergency Dispatch Centre received reports that a suspect involved in a recent theft case had returned to the scene of the crime. The suspect had previously stolen a cell phone from a property on Eastview Road, Park Hill, Durban North, on 3 March 2025.
Marshall Security’s Armed Response Officers, Special Operations Team, and Community Support were immediately dispatched to the location to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers spotted the suspect loitering outside the same property he had previously targeted. Acting swiftly, they apprehended the individual before he could flee. The complainant provided CCTV footage of the original theft incident, confirming the suspect’s involvement.
Greenwood Park SAPS was contacted and arrived on the scene within minutes. The suspect was transported to the station for further processing and legal proceedings.
