Last week Friday our team members assisted Tracker SA in successfully recovery two stolen vehicles, one of which was the third Polo recovered in the space of a week.
At approximately 12h50 members of our Special Operations Team were activated to assist Tracker SA with locating an Isuzu bakkie which had been stolen from Damba Road in the Newlands area.
Our members immediately responded to the last known location of the Isuzu. As they approached the vehicle which was parked on Mvundla Avenue in Newtown, Inanda two suspects were spotted fleeing the scene.
After an extensive search by our team members together with the assistance of the SAPS Provincial Trio and Vehicle Task Team and Tracker SA ground team, the suspects unfortunately managed to evade arrest after fleeing into a nearby dense bush.
The severely stripped vehicle was taken to the Inanda Police Station for further investigation and processing.
That same day at approximately 21h30 members of our Special Ops Team were activated yet again to assist Tracker SA with another VW Polo which had been stolen on Florida Road in the Morningside area.
After an extensive track by members of our Special Ops Team, the SAPS Provincial Trio and Vehicle Task Team, the SAPS Phoenix Trio Crimes Unit and another private security company, the vehicle was found abandoned and recovered on a dirt road in the Ntuzuma area just after 22h00.
The vehicle was taken to the Ntuzuma Police Station for further processing and investigating.
