INCIDENT: HOUSE ROBBERY

At approximately 10:30, Marshall Security responded to a call of a house robbery which had occurred in Canterbury Crescent in Umhlanga Rocks, north of Durban.
Reports from the scene suggest that four men, armed with handguns forced entry into the premises. An elderly female who was home at the time was confronted by the armed men who demanded money and jewellery before fleeing the scene in an awaiting getaway vehicle.
Although shaken up in the ordeal, the victim did not suffer any physical injury.
The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation.
In a separate incident, a man was robbed at gunpoint whilst walking on Village Way in the Sunningdale area. Reports indicate that the man was held up by armed suspects and robbed of his backpack. The men fled in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction.
