Even the doors had been removed from a vehicle by the time it was recovered only hours after it had been hijacked in Sydenham yesterday.
At approximately 20h15 yesterday evening members of our Special Operations Team were activated to assist Cartrack with a hijacked Toyota Etios which had been taken in the Sydenham area earlier in the evening.
Members of our Special Operations Team responded to the scene and recovered the hijacked vehicle, which was found abandoned 10 minutes after being activated in the Avoca Hills area, together with the Cartrack ground team.
The hijacked vehicle was found severely stripped – even the doors of the vehicle had been removed.
The scene was secured and handed over to the SAPS for further processing and investigation.
