Marshall Security Apprehends Suspect near the M41

Last night, at approximately 19h52, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team (SOT) responded to information received from Umhlanga Ridge Town Centre Control Room via a WhatsApp Crime Alert Group regarding known suspects heading toward the N2 interchange bridges.

Acting immediately, our Special Operations Team was dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, members spotted two suspects on the M41. However, as soon as the suspects noticed our officers, they fled into nearby bushes in an attempt to evade capture.

Undeterred, our Special Operations Team pursued the suspects, successfully apprehending one suspect. Upon searching the suspect, members discovered a knife in his possession. Unfortunately, the second suspect managed to escape into the dense bushes.

The suspect was transported to Durban North SAPS, where he was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon. Durban North SAPS is now conducting further investigations alongside Phoenix SAPS to determine whether the suspect is connected to a recent surge in robberies targeting pedestrians and motorists on the M41/N2 bridge.

This successful arrest highlights the importance of swift action and collaboration in combating crime. Marshall Security remains committed to ensuring the safety of our community and working alongside SAPS and private security partners to bring criminals to justice.
